My first service highlight is of a dear friend.  She is one of those people who always seems so full of energy that it makes you tired.  She always creates time for everyone. Because she is so capable  we all use her a little too much.
I needed some help with a project the other day and she was happy to help me and got started right away.  She sent me an e-mail with a rough draft and then said she would get back to me at noon.  The draft was great just needed a little tweaking.  When I called her that afternoon to go over some revisions she apologized that she wasn't finished with it ( which was funny because she was doing me the favor) and then told me that she was making zucchini bread, canning tomatoes, and trying out a new technique on her whites that she had seen on pinterest.  I felt guilty for even asking her in the first place.  That wasn't what she was trying to do, she was just laughing at her crazy day.  Service is funny that way.  It is usually served at the most inconvenient times.  This was just another example to me of how nice it is to have friends who treat you like they have all the time in the world for you.  Thank-you Paula for your generous nature.  I know that you make time for the things that are important in your life.  Thank-you for making me feel important.
This is blog dedicated to sharing the good in the world.  To highlight the quiet acts of kindness that are the lifeblood of a healthy society.  To inspire others to think more often about the simple opportunities we have each day to make someone's life better.  To help curb the current trend of sickening selfishness to one of unifying service.  I want to share little uplifting stories of things that I have seen that make our world a better place because of someones kind service.  Participate in this experiment and share that things that you see that make the world better.  Share the good in your world.
